Asian Development Bank organized an event dedicated to public procurement opportunities and policy reforms in Uzbekistan

On April 24-25, 2025 the Asian Development Bank organized an event dedicated to public procurement opportunities and policy reforms in Uzbekistan, which was attended by around 250 people, including the representatives of IFIs, governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as by the representatives of different entities and companies.

The event was marked by interesting presentations delivered by the MDBs and others as well as by the panel discussions organized on selected topics.

It was a huge privilege and honor for me have been entrusted by the ADB the moderation of the panel dedicated to the experiences of contractors and consultants with MDB projects.

Together with five distinguished experts, we looked at different stages of project implementation from the perspective of contractors and consultants.

At the same time, we tried to explore the differences existing between the realization of MDB projects and the projects realized under public procurement laws of the countries.

I have to admit that the discussion was quite interesting with the relevant highlights from real life.

While there is much more to analyze, discuss, propose, implement, and to test in respect of MDB projects, however, I can state it with firm confidence that this panel succeeded in sharing with the practice and experience of the realization of MDB projects in Uzbekistan.

Special gratitude to the management and staff of the Uzbekistan Resident Mission of the ADB for including this panel to the agenda of the event and for bringing all of us together in this panel.
